About the role:

A well-established, rapidly expanding specialty insurance organization is seeking a Property & Casualty Actuarial Director to shape pricing strategy, drive profitability, and lead the continued growth of its Private Flood programs. Duties and responsibilities:
Develop and implement pricing strategies, rating plans, and underwriting rules. Analyze loss trends, identify high-performing segments, and recommend product adjustments. Oversee modeling and reporting to support rate adequacy and reserving analyses. Respond to data calls from regulators, reinsurers, and rating agencies. Manage CAT modeling, risk aggregation, and exposure reporting. Drive product development initiatives and support state filings for rate and rule changes. Serve as an actuarial subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior leadership.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, actuarial science, finance, business, mathematics, or related field (advanced degree or CAS designation a plus). 7+ years of actuarial, pricing, or analytical experience in Property & Casualty insurance—Private Flood or Cat-exposed lines strongly preferred. Proven ability to interpret data, model risk, and make actionable recommendations. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership approach. Strong proficiency in modeling tools and analytics software.
Compensation:
$125,000 to $175,000k, competitive benefits including tuition reimbursement, continuing education support, unlimited PTO, 401k with match and an Employee Stock Participation Plan.
