A growing, forward-thinking Property & Casualty insurance organization is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Controller to serve as a critical partner to the Chief Accounting Officer. Support two P&C insurance entities and shape the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the organization’s financial reporting. Oversee and review complex journal entries across multiple entities. Lead preparation and filing of quarterly/annual statutory statements, including Schedule F and NAIC exhibits. Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules. Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Reinsurance & Ceded Accounting. Calculate, prepare, and record ceded reinsurance transactions (premium, losses, reinstatements, recoverables).

5–8 years P&C insurance accounting experience is required. Strong background in reinsurance accounting and ceded transaction processing. Experience managing accounting for multiple insurance entities. Deep knowledge of both GAAP and Statutory (STAT) reporting. Advanced Excel and robust analytical skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance required. CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
