About the role:
Growing health insurance company committed to delivering top-tier group health insurance products across Northeast Iowa, Southwest Wisconsin, and Northwest/South Central Illinois is seeking a dynamic Director of Health Plan Sales & Network Management to drive growth, strengthen provider networks, and ensure member satisfaction. This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a well-established, community-centered organization.
Duties and responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing Sales and Network teams. Develop strategies to increase sales of health plan products and achieve growth goals. Build and strengthen relationships with healthcare providers, negotiating contracts that deliver high-quality care at the lowest net cost. Partner with employers to deliver tailored health insurance solutions that meet their needs. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to guide strategy. Collaborate across teams to deliver best-in-class client and member experiences.
Experience:
5–10 years of experience in group health insurance sales, provider relations, or related roles. At least 3 years leading teams and developing talent. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Deep understanding of healthcare, group health insurance products, and regulatory environments. A proactive, results-driven approach to driving growth and excellence. Health insurance license (in any state) or ability to obtain Tri-State licensure within 90 days.
Compensation:
$150,000 to $160,000 + commission + retention bonus + overrides on team production, Comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with immediate company match + annual Profit Sharing, Life, Dental, Vision, and Disability coverage
