About the role:
This is an opportunity for a seasoned HR leader to step into a high-visibility, enterprise-level role partnering directly with executive leadership to shape, scale, and modernize Human Resources. As Director of Human Resources, you will work closely with the CHRO to execute the organization’s HR strategy while owning the infrastructure, systems, and processes that support a growing, multi-state workforce.
Duties and responsibilities:
Partner with the CHRO and executive leadership to implement HR strategies aligned with business goals. Translate organizational priorities into scalable, practical HR programs and processes. Support workforce planning, organizational design, and change management initiatives. Provide leadership oversight across payroll, benefits, training & development, and recruiting. Provide strategic oversight of health & welfare and retirement programs. Maintain accountability for ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, Paid Leave, and fiduciary responsibilities. Lead optimization of HRIS platforms (UKG or similar), reporting, and workflow automation. Enhance recruiting, onboarding, analytics, and employee self-service. Leverage workforce data to inform leadership decisions. Develop dashboards and reporting that deliver insights on turnover, performance, and talent trends. Collaborate on talent acquisition strategy and leadership development. Support succession planning and retention initiatives.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior-level generalist leadership. SPHR or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred. Deep knowledge of employment law, regulatory compliance, and multi-state HR practices. Proven experience advising executives and influencing across departments. Strong background in organizational design, workforce planning, and HR systems. Demonstrated success leading HR teams, modernizing processes, and scaling operations. Financial acumen related to staffing, budgeting, and compensation programs. Data-driven mindset with the ability to turn metrics into actionable insights. Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (UKG or similar) and process automation.
Compensation:
$150,000 to $165,000. No bonus. Competitive benefits.
