We're partnering with a highly respected and financially strong insurance organization seeking an experienced Director of IT Infrastructure to help redefine how enterprise infrastructure enables the business. Rather than simply operating technology, you'll build modern platforms that empower engineering teams, accelerate innovation, strengthen resiliency, and support the organization's rapidly evolving AI and digital initiatives.

Building and leading a modern Infrastructure-as-a-Product operating model. Developing infrastructure platforms that improve developer experience, speed, scalability, and reliability Driving automation through Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps, policy-as-code, and self-service platform capabilities. Leading the evolution from manual, ticket-driven operations to highly automated engineering practices Partnering with Product, Engineering, Data, Security, and executive leadership to align technology investments with business strategy. Supporting enterprise AI initiatives through scalable, secure infrastructure platforms. Championing AIOps, intelligent automation, observability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience. Establishing meaningful engineering metrics including reliability, automation coverage, change success, MTTR, customer experience, and platform health. Leading, mentoring, and developing infrastructure engineering managers and technical teams. Managing strategic technology investments, vendor partnerships, and long-term infrastructure roadmaps.

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 6+ years, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous people leadership experience. Experience leading enterprise infrastructure teams in complex environments. Strong understanding of infrastructure engineering, automation, cloud technologies, governance, and operational excellence.
