About the role:
Our client, a highly respected and financially strong regional Property & Casualty insurance carrier, is seeking an accomplished Director of Homeowners Claims to provide strategic leadership for its Personal Lines Property Claims organization. Duties and responsibilities:
Establish departmental objectives, operational priorities, and performance standards aligned with organizational goals. Oversee complex homeowners property claims involving coverage analysis, reserving, litigation strategy, and claim resolution. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance claim quality, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Utilize claims analytics and performance metrics to identify trends, improve outcomes, and support strategic decision-making. Lead catastrophe preparedness and response planning while strengthening vendor and catastrophe resource management. Promote a culture built on accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, innovation, and exceptional customer service.
Experience:
Progressive leadership experience within Personal Lines Property/Homeowners Claims. Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing claims organizations. Deep expertise in homeowners property claims, policy interpretation, coverage analysis, reserving, litigation management, and claim resolution. Experience managing catastrophe events and complex property losses. Proven ability to lead organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives. CPCU, AIC, SCLA, or other industry designations are highly valued.
Compensation:
$150,000 to $190,000. 401k, Competitive benefits
