Our client is an innovative and fast-growing insurance organization redefining the customer experience through technology, partnership, and service excellence. They are seeking a Rating & Pricing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the next evolution of their personal lines rating function. This is a pivotal role for an experienced insurance professional who understands personal lines rating inside and out — particularly homeowners — and is ready to take ownership of both the current-state rate calculation and the future-state design of our rating architecture. You’ll walk into a functioning rating and product environment, but with a clear mandate: help transform how they rate, price, and manage product logic for the future. You’ll assess the current rating framework, identify opportunities for modernization and efficiency, and define a scalable, forward-looking rating structure that aligns with Client’s innovation-driven strategy. You’ll partner closely with Product, Actuarial, and Technology teams — ensuring today’s rater continues to operate smoothly while designing the next generation of their rating capabilities.

Take ownership of personal lines (primarily homeowners) rate calculation and methodology. Evaluate current rating logic, models, and processes to identify areas for optimization and modernization. Design and implement future-state rating solutions that enhance scalability, speed, and precision. Collaborate with product development teams to ensure rating supports evolving product strategies. Partner with technology teams to ensure seamless execution within rating engines and systems. Serve as the go-to expert for all rating and pricing-related initiatives.

7+ years of experience in personal lines insurance with deep rating and pricing expertise (homeowners preferred). Previous experience/expertise in tools such as Earnix ideal. Proven success owning or developing rating frameworks in a P&C environment. Strong technical understanding of rating engines, algorithms, and data integration. Ability to bridge the gap between technical rating execution and broader product strategy. Analytical, strategic, and comfortable leading transformation in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
