We are partnering with an innovative insurance technology company seeking a temporary, fully remote Customer Service Representative to support its growing renters insurance operations. This is an immediate need to cover an unexpected leave, with the assignment duration to be determined. The role is ideal for an insurance professional who combines strong customer service skills with solid personal lines knowledge, enjoys solving problems, and can guide customers through the insurance application process.

Handle primarily inbound customer calls, including escalated questions from customers completing online renters insurance applications. Provide support across phone, text, email, and chat. Guide policyholders through applications, coverage questions, policy changes, billing, payments, refunds, and verification. Document customer interactions accurately and follow through on resolutions. Deliver a high-touch customer experience while identifying opportunities to improve processes and service. Collaborate with a small, innovative team to enhance customer support tools and workflows.

An active Property & Casualty insurance license in all 50 states — required on day one. At least 3 years of customer-facing insurance, contact center, or high-volume service experience. Personal lines experience, ideally with renters insurance. Experience supporting customers by phone, email, chat, or ticketing systems. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Comfort learning technology platforms and adapting in a fast-moving environment. A customer-first mindset with the ability to identify sales opportunities while prioritizing service and support.
