A growing and innovative insurance organization focused on supporting and scaling Managing General Agencies (MGAs) is seeking an experienced Insurance Accounting Professional to join its finance team. This role offers strong visibility within the organization and the opportunity to play a key role in financial operations, premium accounting workflows, and month-end close processes supporting a dynamic MGA platform.

Manage month-end and year-end close processes within an MGA insurance accounting environment. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP. Support agency bill and premium trust accounting processes. Oversee accounts receivable and premium-related financial transactions. Process accounts payable workflows, including invoice management and payment processing. Assist with surplus lines tax reporting and compliance requirements. Work with policy administration systems and accounting platforms to ensure financial accuracy.

3+ years of accounting experience within an MGA, insurance carrier, or agency environment. Experience supporting commercial property and/or general liability insurance programs. Strong understanding of agency bill processes, premium trust accounting, and insurance A/R management. Demonstrated experience managing month-end and year-end close in an insurance environment. Knowledge of surplus lines tax reporting and compliance. Experience with Sage Intacct or a similar accounting platform (required). Familiarity with Bill.com for accounts payable processing (strongly preferred). Working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
