About the role:
A well-respected Property & Casualty insurance organization in the Salt Lake City area is creating a Learning & Development Manager role—an opportunity to design, build, and lead a centralized training and knowledge function from the ground up. This role is ideal for an insurance training professional who has gained experience within an established carrier and is now ready to create structure, consistency, and scalable learning solutions across the enterprise. Today, training is managed independently within each department. While this approach has supported growth, it has also created inconsistencies in onboarding, development, and knowledge sharing. The Learning & Development Manager will partner across the organization to: Build consistent training frameworks for new and existing employees Create a centralized knowledge base that supports operational excellence Design and deliver engaging, practical insurance training content Establish the foundation of a formal L&D function for the company
Duties and responsibilities:
Design and implement enterprise-wide training and development programs. Create standardized onboarding programs for new hires across departments. Develop ongoing learning paths for existing employees. Partner with department leaders to assess training needs and close skill gaps. Develop original training content, curriculum, and learning materials. Translate insurance concepts, processes, and systems into clear, engaging instruction. Ensure training materials remain current, accurate, and aligned with company goals. Present and facilitate live, virtual, and blended training sessions.
Experience:
Experience in Learning & Development or Training within a Property & Casualty insurance carrier. Proven success building or enhancing training programs and curriculum. Strong content creation and presentation skills. Comfortable facilitating training and presenting to groups. Experience creating or managing knowledge bases or learning platforms.
Compensation:
$110,000 to $140,000 + 10% bonus. 401k, Pension Plan, Competitive benefits
