About the role:
A leading specialty insurance organization is seeking an experienced Policy Administration Systems Operations Specialist to play a key role in optimizing processes, supporting underwriting workflows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across multiple commercial insurance lines. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with underwriting leaders, technology teams, and operations staff to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency in a fast-paced, growing environment. As a Policy Administration Systems Operations Specialist, you will be the vital link between underwriting and technology, ensuring that business needs are clearly defined, system enhancements are effectively implemented, and end-users have the tools and processes needed to succeed. You will support submission clearance and underwriting operations across Primary Casualty, Excess Casualty, and Inland Marine, acting as both a problem-solver and process champion.
Duties and responsibilities:
Develop a strong working knowledge of underwriting workflows and policy administration processes. Partner with underwriting teams and IT to identify and implement process improvements. Coordinate and monitor incident resolution and service requests tied to underwriting systems. Manage enhancement requests, routing suggestions, and ensuring user feedback is addressed. Support system training, documentation, and process communication to underwriting teams. Lead and support user acceptance testing to validate enhancements and new features. Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver clear communication on system changes, known issues, and process updates.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Ability to bridge technical and business audiences. Familiarity with commercial insurance systems (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire). 5+ years of experience in project management, policy life cycle solutions, or operations support. Insurance certifications (AINS, CPCU) and/or project management certifications a plus. Background in U.S. commercial insurance products strongly preferred.
Compensation:
