We are seeking experienced and entrepreneurial Program Underwriters who are technically skilled, market-savvy, and energized by the opportunity to help build something exceptional. As our client continues to broaden its reach, with a focus including programs where they provide admitted fronting paper as well as programs where they assume risk as a reinsurer (both admitted and E&S). To this end, we’re actively seeking professionals who can help source, evaluate, and grow profitable specialty programs — particularly in Professional Liability, Specialty Casualty, and Small Commercial. Source and evaluate program opportunities across professional liability, specialty casualty, and small commercial sectors. Partner with MGAs, program administrators, and distribution partners to build profitable, sustainable program relationships. Lead the underwriting due diligence process, assessing program structure, pricing adequacy, risk selection, and overall portfolio performance. Collaborate cross-functionally with actuarial, claims, finance, and reinsurance teams to ensure alignment and program success. Serve as a subject matter expert on program structures involving both fronting and reinsurance risk assumption.

7+ years of experience in Program Underwriting, ideally with both admitted and E&S program exposure. Proven ability to source and structure new programs in collaboration with MGAs or Program Administrators. Strong technical underwriting skills and financial acumen to assess performance and profitability. Deep understanding of reinsurance structures, quota share and excess arrangements, and program risk transfer. Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a high-visibility, build-and-grow environment.

$180,000 to $220,000, bonus, profit sharing, 401k, competitive benefits
