About the role:
Our client, a well-established and financially strong specialty Property & Casualty insurance organization, is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join its Commercial Pricing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an actuarial professional who enjoys combining technical analysis with real business impact by partnering directly with underwriting, product, data analytics, and executive leadership.
Duties and responsibilities:
Develop and enhance actuarial models, pricing tools, and analytical processes that support commercial underwriting and pricing decisions. Perform rate indication analyses to evaluate profitability and support strategic pricing initiatives. Maintain and improve complex commercial rating plans and pricing methodologies. Partner with Underwriting, Product Management, Data Analytics, and IT to implement pricing logic within policy administration systems. Monitor renewal pricing trends and portfolio performance, delivering actionable insights to underwriting leadership. Analyze large datasets using Excel, SQL, and Python to improve pricing accuracy, workflow automation, and reporting capabilities. Support reinsurance pricing and renewal analyses by preparing and validating submission data.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Risk Management, Insurance, Statistics, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of Property & Casualty insurance experience within actuarial, underwriting, product management, pricing, or analytics. Completion of at least four Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) examinations. Strong proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Python. Experience developing pricing models, actuarial analyses, and portfolio monitoring tools. ACAS designation or successful completion of CAS Exam 5. Experience within Commercial Lines, General Liability, Specialty, or Excess & Surplus insurance. Familiarity with commercial rating structures and policy administration systems.
Compensation:
