About the role:
Our client is a highly respected, independently owned commercial insurance brokerage known for delivering customized risk management solutions to middle market and large commercial clients. The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lines Client Manager to join its growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an insurance professional who enjoys working on sophisticated commercial accounts, collaborating directly with producers and executive leadership, negotiating with top insurance carriers, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
Duties and responsibilities:
Serve as the primary service professional for a portfolio of complex commercial insurance accounts. Manage the new business and renewal process from strategy through implementation. Analyze client exposures and recommend coverage solutions and risk management strategies. Prepare marketing submissions and negotiate coverage, pricing, and terms with insurance carriers. Review underwriting information, loss experience, experience modifications, audits, and risk management reports. Advise clients regarding contracts, leases, certificates of insurance, and contractual risk transfer requirements. Partner closely with producers, risk advisors, underwriters, claims professionals, and risk control specialists to deliver exceptional client outcomes. Conduct client meetings, renewal presentations, and coverage discussions independently.
Experience:
5+ years of Commercial Lines Account Management or Client Management experience within an independent insurance agency or brokerage. Strong technical knowledge of commercial property & casualty coverages. Experience handling large, complex middle market or commercial accounts. Ability to market accounts, negotiate with underwriters, and manage renewals independently. Experience reviewing contracts, certificates of insurance, and risk transfer language. California Property & Casualty License (or ability to obtain if relocating within California). Industry designations such as CPCU, CIC, CRM, ARM, or similar are highly desirable. Applied Epic or comparable agency management system experience is beneficial.
Compensation:
$115,000 to $145,000
