Our client, a financially strong and highly respected regional property & casualty insurance carrier, is expanding its Commercial Insurance operation and is seeking a Senior Commercial Property Production Underwriter to play a pivotal leadership role in the continued growth of its Commercial Property portfolio. You'll have the ability to influence underwriting strategy, build agency relationships, mentor underwriting talent, and help shape the long-term success of a growing commercial program.

Underwrite and manage a profitable portfolio of Commercial Property and Casualty business with an emphasis on complex commercial property risks. Build and strengthen relationships with independent agencies, retail brokers, and wholesale distribution partners to generate new business opportunities. Evaluate, select, price, and negotiate commercial risks while maintaining underwriting discipline and profitability objectives. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to commercial underwriters and underwriting support staff. Monitor portfolio performance and recommend underwriting or product enhancements that support long-term profitability. Represent the organization with agency partners, industry associations, and marketplace events.

Significant Commercial Property underwriting experience. Strong knowledge of Commercial Property and General Liability coverages. Experience underwriting within the Excess & Surplus marketplace. Experience working with wholesale brokers and independent agency distribution. Proven ability to build and maintain strong agency relationships. Demonstrated production underwriting success with a focus on profitable growth. Knowledge of coastal commercial property exposures is a significant advantage. Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.
