About the role:
Are you an experienced SIU leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, combating organized insurance fraud, and influencing enterprise claims strategy? Our client, a highly respected Property & Casualty insurance organization, is seeking a Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Manager to lead its Auto Casualty SIU operation. This is an outstanding opportunity to shape fraud prevention strategy, mentor experienced investigators, and work alongside senior claims, legal, underwriting, and executive leadership to protect the organization while ensuring fair outcomes for policyholders.
Duties and responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of SIU investigators responsible for complex Auto Casualty fraud investigations. Direct investigations involving bodily injury, staged accidents, organized fraud rings, material misrepresentation, and other high-exposure claims. Develop proactive fraud detection strategies while identifying emerging fraud trends and opportunities to strengthen investigative effectiveness. Partner closely with Claims, Legal, Compliance, Underwriting, Product, and executive leadership to improve fraud prevention and claims outcomes. Build relationships with law enforcement, fraud bureaus, prosecutors, and regulatory agencies. Utilize analytics, reporting, and performance metrics to enhance operational effectiveness and support strategic decision-making. Champion continuous improvement through quality assurance, staff development, fraud awareness training, and process innovation.
Experience:
5+ years of progressive SIU or insurance claims experience with leadership responsibility. Solid experience investigating complex Auto Casualty fraud involving bodily injury, liability, staged accidents, and organized fraud. Strong knowledge of insurance fraud statutes, claims handling practices, regulatory compliance, and investigative best practices. Proven leadership experience developing high-performing investigative teams. Outstanding analytical, interviewing, communication, and decision-making skills. Experience working with fraud analytics, SIU technologies, and multi-state investigations is highly valued. Professional designations such as CFE, AIFI, CIFI, CPCU, or AIC are a plus.

$145,000 to $150,000
