About the role:
A rapidly growing, innovative insurance platform focused on supporting elite program administrators is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic budgeting functions. Duties and responsibilities:
Lead all accounting functions, including the accurate and timely reporting of financials under SAP, IFRS17, and GAAP frameworks. Serve as the key liaison to external auditors, regulators, tax consultants. Manage general ledger integrity, premium allocation, claims and reinsurance entries. Oversee all internal/external reporting—monthly, quarterly, and annually—to support parent company and board-level transparency. Drive the company’s budgeting and forecasting process and provide clear, actionable performance analysis. Ensure tax compliance, including premium tax, federal, and state-level filings. Champion a strong internal control environment and lead continuous improvements.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting + CPA or CFA certification required. 10+ years in senior financial leadership roles within the insurance industry—carrier experience strongly preferred. Expertise in Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and working familiarity with IFRS17. Strong grasp of insurance tax accounting, ideally with exposure to international entities. Experience leading audit readiness, interacting with regulators, and managing reporting obligations to parent companies. Skilled in financial systems, accounting software, and data integration tools. Proven leader with the strategic mindset to guide a finance team and the operational depth to get hands-on when needed.
Compensation:
$180,000 to $210,000, 30% bonus, hybrid, competitive benefits
