About the role:
We are working with a well-established regional property & casualty insurance organization that is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to lead its people strategy and partner directly with senior leadership. This is more than a traditional HR leadership role. The organization is looking for an executive who can connect talent strategy, workforce planning, leadership development, employee engagement, technology, and organizational transformation to the company’s broader business objectives.
Duties and responsibilities:
Develop enterprise-wide talent and workforce strategies aligned with current and future business needs. Lead succession planning, leadership development, organizational development, and retention initiatives. Incorporate AI, analytics, and digital HR technology into recruiting, performance management, workforce planning, and employee experience. Lead change management initiatives as the organization evolves its technology, processes, and business strategies. Oversee employee engagement, onboarding, performance management, recognition, career development, and continuous learning. Partner with executive leadership on annual planning, budgeting, compensation, and benefits. Maintain strong HR governance, employee relations, investigations, and compliance practices. Serve as a strategic HR voice across the organization while remaining connected to the day-to-day realities of the workforce.
Experience:
Senior-level HR leadership experience with a history of driving strategic initiatives. Strong background in talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, and change leadership. Experience with HR technology, AI applications, data analytics, or digital transformation. Strong business acumen and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Bachelor’s degree required. 10+ years of leadership experience and at least 7 years of progressive HR experience. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Compensation:
$180,000 to $220,000, bonus, competitive benefits
